Uncommon Coffee has become the unofficial home for Essex Pride. Uncommon has hosted monthly Queer Coffee Meetups, Drag Story Hour, Queer Artist Markets, our annual TDOV Performance Showcase, and the Essex Pride Festival Afterparty, and has been a consistent safe space for our community. Essex Pride is thankful and grateful for the staff and ownership at Uncommon Coffee. This is what allyship looks like.
--------
It’s our mission to serve high quality products without pretension, taking pride in our work and treating others with respect and kindness. We value integrity, and put this into practice at every level of our business.
We make as much as we possibly can from scratch. From the bread your breakfast sandwich is on to the chocolate syrup in your mocha, to the coffee beans you love to brew (and much more). When you come in, you’ll have a truly unique experience because of this.
Located in the heart of Essex Town in the Essex Experience, Uncommon provides a large and comfortable space for all to share. Whether you're a group of people looking for a place to meet and relax, or an individual working from your computer, we have a home for you here. Come enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, or join us for a meal.
A staple cafe in our community, a creative and locally sourced menu for any time of day - juices and smoothies, baked goods, sandwiches and salads, soups and bone broth, order ahead or stay a while with friends.
The market stocks “farm to market” ingredients from greens and other produce to locally sourced dairy, eggs, meats, and more.
We want this to be your third place, your regular place, your go to place, your neighborhood corner store with a lotta extra love.

At Salt & Bubbles Wine Bar and Market we focus on ethically made wines (and some ciders + beer) by people who take care of the land and the people they work with. These producers (who really are farmers!) make wines full of life, they tell a story of a season or a place, and well, they taste great too!
We love our customers and communities at Phoenix Books Essex, Burlington, and Rutland. We support other local stores, local authors, and local artists. By reading on, you can find out more about what we do in the community and what you support every time you shop at Phoenix Books. If you're already a Phoenix customer, thank you! If you're new to Phoenix Books, we hope to see you in person soon. Either way, we'd love to help you find your next great read or great gift(s) for even the most challenging folks on your list!
We have limited Essex Pride Sponsorships available at different tiers beginning at $200, which include a special feature on our website, shout outs on social media, an opportunity to table at the Friday night Kickoff Party and Comedy Show, a customized gift to be determined, tickets to the official after party, and our undying gratitude for helping to make this day happen. Full sponsorship packets, pricing, and incentive options are available if you email us at EssexVTPride@gmail.com.
As we've stated before, any money we accept will go towards our direct costs and towards providing future events and safe spaces for the Essex LGBTQIA+ community. A portion of funds raised will also be dispersed to other LGBTQIA+ organizations across Vermont.
This is not a corporate Pride event where anyone can buy their way into allyship. We encourage artists, organizations, and businesses who either are a part of our LGBTQIA+ community or who actively and openly support our community to consider being our sponsors for what we know will be an incredible day.
Sponsorships are not available for politicians or individual political campaigns, but we encourage groups who fight for LGBTQIA+ rights and actively combat and speak out against harmful and hateful bills attacking our community to submit a vendor form to table at the Festival at no cost.
